I was recently contacted by Green Gestures, an organization’s who’s mission is “to reduce paper consumption (and paper waste) by creating a more sustainable way to shop.” One of the ways they do this is by planting trees to offset the CO2 output in the environment. And, the way the spread the word is by planting a tree for every blog post about their cause. I think it’s a lovely idea and I am happy to participate. Here is a bit more info and a link to their site where you can help out!!

Make a Green Gesture by planting a tree – for free!

Help reduce the long-term CO2 output of your blog – the free and easy way!

Make a Green Gesture is a large-scale reforestation initiative here in the U.S., by bloggers, for bloggers. In collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation, they will help to mitigate your blog’s long-term CO2 output by planting a tree in an American forest.

They plant a tree for your blog and help to reduce the long-term effects of its carbon footprint – for free!  If you want to participate, all you have to do is write a short post about the campaign and link to the Green Gestures site. Email them with the url of your post and they will plant a tree for your blog.
